What services do you offer?
At Thought Focus we offer a assessments for ADHD, autism learning difficulties, giftedness, cognitive concerns and academic concerns. We also offer therapeutic services for people experiencing issues relating to anxiety, depression, disordered eating, OCD, ADHD, women’s health and much more.
What are the costs of assessments and how long do they take?
Assessments are very individualised. As such, the costs of assessments vary greatly and are influenced by the amount of time required and individual assessments used. Costs can range from $1200 to approximately $3000. Please get in touch to find out more.
As assessments are tailored to a person’s specific requirements the duration of each assessment is different. Generally speaking though, assessment sessions can take from 2-4 hours which may be split over multiple sessions or completed in one session.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes. Your information is private except in rare situations involving safety or legal requirements.
Do I need a referral?
You do not need a referral to see a psychologist however if you do not have a valid referral and mental health care plan from your GP you will not be able to claim the medicare rebate. Some private health funds will rebate a portion of psychology fees.
Referrals are not required for assessment purposes as there is no medicare rebate - check with your private health fund if you might be eligible for rebates.

How long do sessions run for and how much do they cost?
Sessions run for 50 minutes. Each session is $220 with a medicare rebate of $98.95.
